Children's Arts & Literacy Festival

The Junior League of McAllen host its annual Children’s Arts and Literacy Festival. Children of all ages have the opportunity to explore and allow their imaginations to grow through reading and related hands-on activities. The festival’s purpose is to expose children to various cultural, artistic and literary hands-on activities with the goal of increasing their appreciation of the arts. Last year’s event attracted a crowd of more than 2,000 people. The Children’s Arts and Literacy Festival features activities, including magic shows, interactive storytelling, and live entertainment including performances by school groups. The festival also offers playful activities, to engage children physically as they play and learn. This is a family event for children of all ages.
